In Enterprise Forms 5.0 we added a new feature (as requested by a number of our customers) known as Reminder Notification. Reminder Notification the ability to send email notifications to either the form owner, fixed list of email addresses, users belonging to a workflow state or a combination of 3 if a form has not been actioned after a number of days or at a specific date.
The Reminder Notification settings are included as part of the Workflow step settings. By default reminder notification is inactive or not required
When selected the Reminder Settings section is expanded (as shown below). Note that there are two types of Reminder Notifications, notification After Specified Amount of Days or notification After a Specified Date. The first option is generally used as a soft reminder to users when a form has not been actioned after a number of days. Whereas the second option is for sending a notification request for urgent action. The image below shows settings for Reminder Notification After Specified Amount of Days.
Reminder Settings Explained
| Setting | Description |
| Reminder Setting Notification | Property used for selecting the type of reminder notification to use. The current supported reminder notifications are Remind After Specified Number of Days or Remind After Specified Date. |
| Remind After (Days) | The number of days to delay Reminder Notification after the workflow step has been triggered. This property setting accepts numeric value and is only available when Remind After Specified Number of Days option is selected. |
| Remind At Date | The date at which reminder notification to be sent out. This property setting accepts valid date value and is only available when Remind At Date option is selected. |
| Notify Owner | Select to send reminder notification to the Form Owner. |
| Notify To User | Select to send reminder notification to all users with access to the form at the To workflow state. |
| Email Addresses | List of email addresses to send reminder notifications. This field also accept valid FORM tokens. |
| Email Subject | The email subject of reminder notification. This field also accept valid FORM tokens. |
| Email Body | The email body of reminder notification. This field also accept valid FORM tokens. |
