It would be nice to have some enhancements to the file upload to allow for easier image managemnt:

Image Confirmation - a small thumb is displayed upon upload

Thumb Generation - can set thumbs to be created, and set the resize values of both the thumb and original image.

Shrink only - only shrink the resized images.

File deletion when record deleted database or file system

Store in database or in the file system

Option to attach a set or infinite number of files/images to a form.  Be able to set a specif number of files that the user can upload, but have a single upload control on the form.

Thank you.  We will take these suggestions on board and hopefully to have some of these implemented in future releases of Enterprise Forms.

Excellent summary of the issues remaining with the upload control. I would add that it would be nice to be able to limit the file size of the upload as well.

I note that the upload submit button will already upload  multiple files if the files have been selected. So instead of uploading them one by one, select all five or seven files and hit only one of the (multiple) upload buttons, and all files get uploaded.

That being the case, creating only one 'file submit' button per form page may not be too difficult to achieve.

I am hoping that along with other changes the varbinary(max) datatype will be implemented for future file storage; and that the files can be stored more integrally with the form instance for more native EF management of the files.

Have there been any enhancements to the file upload feature in the latest release? If so what? If not when can we expect some features on the roadmap?
